Jefferswood is a unique Bed and Breakfast tucked into the very heart of Marlborough, New Zealand. Our eco-friendly accommodation is close to wonderful hiking, boating, fresh water fishing, and many outdoor activities. We are just five minutes from wine trails, fine cafes, arts and crafts, and so much more that Marlborough has to offer.
Experience the serenity of an eco-friendly adobe homestead, built with stylish fittings and spacious comfort. Adobe brick gives winter warmth and summer cool, maximising the plentiful sunshine of Marlborough, the sunniest place in New Zealand.
New Zealand native bush, forestry and rural countryside surround us. New Zealand native songbirds are attracted to Jefferswood's hundreds of trees and around the large wildlife nature pond on our Marlborough property. Relish spectacular scenery while relaxing on the homestead veranda sipping a local wine, and enjoying the bed and breakfast accommodation.
We pride ourselves on the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere we have worked hard to create, with the aim of providing truly perfect accommodation from which to experience Marlborough and the Marlborough Sounds.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
Your hosts, Jeff and Sandra Sewell, are actively involved in Marlborough and the Marlborough Sounds agricultural sector, enjoy a broad range of interests, and are well travelled. Their rural property reflects their philosophy of sustainable living and creates a peaceful haven from a busy life.
The name "Jefferswood" comes from Jeff’s time as a young Kiwi farmer in the United Kingdom in the late seventies, where his co-workers called him "Jeffers" and the "wood" for the woodland we are creating here in Marlborough.
